I recently stayed at the Radisson Hotel in Orlando – International Drive for Radisson’s Big Night Giveaway Promotion. I found a rate of $89/night but with the taxes and $10 resort fee, it came out to about $110 total. The resort fee “covers parking, & access to the YMCA located on property”. This isn’t the cheapest rate I’ve seen there (I’ve seen the $79/night rate come up before) but it worked for my mattress run purposes. I ended up netting over 54,000 points from this one stay with the promotion bonus.
I got a standard room with 2 Queen beds. My room was located in a separate wing than the main lobby. I think all the rooms are in different towers than the lobby. As I would expect in family hotels, my room had 2 doors that connected to adjoining rooms. I thought my room was pretty spacious
This is definitely a family hotel with a lot of vacationers. The hotel is in a great location, right on International Drive. There are tons of restaurants and other tourists facilities close by on International Drive. All the major amusement parks are minutes away; Universal Studios and SeaWorld are only 10 minutes away and Disney World about 15 minutes away. The hotel offers complimentary scheduled shuttle service to Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, Universal City Walk, Walt Disney World Resort, Aquatica and SeaWorld. The hotel is only about a 20 minute drive from MCO airport.
I think one of the best parts of the hotel is that is it’s only a category 1 hotel in the Club Carlson program costing only 9,000 points a night. It’s a great value hotel located in a busy touristy place.
