For Radisson’s Big Night Giveaway Promotion I stayed one night at the Radisson Hotel in Orlando – International Drive. The next night I changed hotels to stay at the Country Inn & Suites at Orlando Maingate (but it’s pretty much in Kissimmee). I was able to find a rate of $62/night but with the taxes and the $8 resort fee it ended up being around $78. Overall it was not a bad deal because I ended up netting over 47,000 points with my bonus points from the promotion.

I didn’t spend much time at the hotel but it seemed nice enough. The room and bathroom was not as big as the room and bathroom at the Radisson Hotel in Orlando – International Drive but it was nice enough. The front desk staff at this hotel was friendlier but the elevator was a little dirty because the hotel was doing some construction (you can see a van with construction materials in the top photo). My other complaint is that there was music playing from the pool area until it got dark out. It wasn’t too loud but I could definitely hear it from my room.

This hotel is not as centrally located as the Radisson Hotel in Orlando – International Drive. There is no large popular shopping lane nearby like International Drive. I would feel comfortable walking around International Drive at night but I would not here just because there is nothing around in walking distance. However, this hotel is located close to Disney World; only 15 minutes away. For SeaWorld the drive is about 15 minutes and Universal Studios is about 20 minutes away. I was able to drive to the airport in about 30 minutes.

If I was using points I would definitely choose to stay at the Radisson Hotel in Orlando – International Drive over the Country Inn & Suites at Orlando Maingate because since the former is a category 1 hotel while the latter is a category 2 hotel. If I was looking for the cheapest hotel, I would look into this hotel because this was the cheapest Club Carlson hotel I found in the Orlando area.
